A seasoned social entrepreneur, consultant, and lecturer, Peter Ptashko FRSA brings almost 20 years of experience in fostering social enterprise and driving impactful, sustainable change across public and private sectors globally. He is a strategic leader, he combines a rich background in entrepreneurship, funding and advisory.
Peter’s impact journey began in 2005 when he launched his first venture at university, securing £25,000 in just seven hours. This remarkable start propelled him into a career dedicated to empowering social entrepreneurs. At UnLtd he supported thousands of impact founders to establish and scale their ventures, particularly across education, helping to secure and disseminate nearly £10 million in investment across universities in partnership with the UK government.
Following this, he served as Director of the Global Social Entrepreneurship Network (GSEN), where he led a coalition of 60 member organisations (both incubators and accelerators) spanning over 70 countries. Under his leadership, the network’s voice and capacity to drive meaningful change were significantly amplified – in particular across Central and Eastern Europe, enabling greater support for social entrepreneurs worldwide. Before this, he was based in their Mexico City office, with a focus on Impact Investment across Latin America.
In 2019, Peter founded Cambio, a consultancy dedicated to offering high-quality, tailored support to leaders across sectors. His belief in the transformative power of social enterprise and leadership development, emphasises innovative solutions informed by global perspectives. Cambio has since worked with clients across the UK and internationally, delivering measurable results and fostering resilience in businesses navigating constant change every day.
Beyond his professional work, Peter serves in various leadership and board-level roles, further showcasing his commitment to social and environmental progress. He was born in Nottingham but now lives in London with his partner, travelling nationally and internationally, having worked in and visited over 60 countries around the world. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts (FRSA) and has a range of interests across education, politics, economics, sport, music & performance.
